The Role
You'll lead creative across Stubb and our partners. Brand identities, campaign visuals, websites, social content — the full spectrum of making things look like they should feel.
You're not just a designer who makes things pretty. You're a creative thinker who understands why something works. You can build a brand system from scratch and you can optimize a landing page for conversion. You can concept a campaign and you can sweat the details.
You'll work directly with strategists and clients. No layers in between. When we present creative work, you're in the room explaining the thinking.
What You'll Actually Do
Lead brand and visual identity projects — logos, brand systems, guidelines that actually get used
Design and oversee website projects — from wireframes to final pixels, working with dev to bring it to life
Create and direct campaign visuals — paid social, content, whatever the strategy requires
Build and maintain design systems — templates, components, assets that make us all faster
Present and defend creative work to clients — you're not handing things off, you're in the conversation
Raise the bar — give feedback, mentor junior designers as we grow, make everyone better
Who You Are
You have range. You can go from brand identity to UI to social content without losing a step. You're not precious about one style — you adapt to what the brand needs.
You think before you design. You ask why before you open Figma. You understand the business problem behind the creative ask. You push back when the brief doesn't make sense.
You're fast and decisive. You don't agonize over every pixel in the first round. You get to good quickly, then refine. You know when something is ready to share.
You can explain your work. Not "I don't know, it just looks better this way." You articulate why you made the choices you made — to clients, to the team, to yourself.
You're self-directed. You don't need someone checking in daily. You see what needs to be done and you do it.
